FOX5 Road to the Bowl Sweepstakes

The FOX5 Road to the Bowl Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes Period”) begins at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time (”P.T.”) on 11/18/2012 and ends 12/11/2012.  Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., P.T. on 12/11/2012 and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Sponsor: KVVU-TV/KVVU Broadcasting Corporation, 25 TV 5 Dr., Henderson, NV 89014

ENTRY:  Watch Fox5 News at 10:00 p.m. on Sundays for Sports Plus from 11/18/2012 thru 12/9/2012 between 10:45 – 11:00 p.m. A video and audio announcement will provide the weekly Game of the Week word.  Then go to fox5vegas.com, complete the registration and enter the word of the week. There is no cost to register or enter. 

Entry for the following weeks begins at 10:45 p.m., P.T. each Sunday during the Sweepstakes Period and ends at 11:59 p.m., P.T. each Tuesday during the Sweepstakes Period as follows:

Week 1 -   11/18/12 – 11/20/12

Week 2 -   11/25/12 – 11/27/12

Week 3 -   12/2/12 – 12/4/12

Week 4 -   12/9/12 – 12/11/12

LIMIT: One entry per person with a valid email address per week.  Any attempt to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, or any other methods may result in disqualification by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. 

ELIGIBILITY: Legal residents of Nevada, who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry are eligible to enter, except employees of  Sponsor, Maaco, Las Vegas Bowl, and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of the Sweepstakes and/or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or household members. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses.  “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.  Winners of a prize from Sponsor within the past thirty (30) days from the beginning date of this sweepstakes are not eligible.

WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZING:  On or about 12/12/12, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received containing a correct word of the week.  One (1) winner will receive a prize package consisting of  two (2) VIP Club at the Field Tickets the Maaco Las Vegas Bowl, December 22, 2012; admission for two (2) to the Pre-game Hospitality tent; VIP Parking. Total Retail Value $750.00.

Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or phone on or about 12/17/12.  Prize may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

In the event that Sponsor is unable to provide any event-related prize due to circumstances beyond its control, no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize cannot be awarded as described. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third-party product or services accepted by the winner(s). The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required documentation, is found to have violated the Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from entries containing a correct code word. Entrants understand that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.

OTHER: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or lost entries.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the sweepstakes.  In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize(s) to an eligible, non-suspect, entry received containing a correct code word prior to date of cancellation.  The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the sweepstakes is prohibited.  In the event of a dispute regarding on-line entry, entry will be deemed made by the holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry. 

ODDS of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received containing a correct weekly word.

PRIVACY:  Information collected from online entrants is subject to Sponsor’s online privacy policy at Sponsor’s web site listed above.  

GENERAL: Except where prohibited by law:  (i) entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s entry, name, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice and statements regarding this sweepstakes in all media now known or hereafter discovered, for any purpose, including without limitation, in connection with, and to promote, market or advertise, the sweepstakes, in whole or in part, without review, approval, credit or attribution, notification or payment from or to entrant or any person or entity, worldwide, in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable; (ii) potential winner will be contacted by phone and will need to respond within 24-hours.  Potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within three (3) days of notification.  If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to claim prize, is unable to travel on dates of prize or attend event on prize date or fails to respond to the winner notification, the potential winner is disqualified and the prize is forfeited.  If forfeited, another winner will be selected from among the eligible entries containing a correct code word by random drawing.   By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the sweepstakes. Subject to all U.S. federal, NV state and local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited.  Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner will receive an IRS 1099-MISC tax form in the amount of the prize retail value as stated herein.  For the winner’s list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after 12/31/12 to Winner’s List/Road to the Bowl at the Sponsor’s address above.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.

KVVU-TV reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

KVVU-TV reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.

Employees of KVVU-TV, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.

Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.

Entrants further grant to KVVU-TV the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

KVVU-TV reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

UPICKEM and KVVU-TV are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to notification.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
